When to call for emergency extraction
Standing water
Any visible pooling on floors, carpets or in rooms.
Pipe burst
A burst pipe or appliance leak flooding a room.
Storm runoff
Rain or storm-drain backup entering the home.
Tide water
King tide or bay water that reached your home.
What happens after extraction
Once standing water is out, the structure is still wet. We move into structural drying — air movers and dehumidifiers pull moisture out of walls, floors and framing, and we log moisture readings until everything is dry. Skipping drying is the most common cause of later mold.
